Dr. Fisher graduated medical school with honors from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and completed her residency in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She trained in microsurgical perforator flap (DIEP flap) breast reconstruction at Magee Women’s Hospital and studied microsurgical lymph node transfer to treat upper and lower extremity lymphedema in Paris, France. During her AFIRM Research fellowship in regenerative medicine she worked with Dr. Peter Rubin on adipose derived stem cells, published improved methods of fat grafting, and published a multi center clinical research study on patient safety.
